# PARALLAX v1.0.0

**Move the frame. Keep the facts.**

Parallax is a reusable way to test whether an answer changes when the frame moves, without throwing away what is already known.

## How to use it

Say:

`Parallax`

or:

`Parallax, assess.`

You can also say `apply Parallax` or `Parallax this`.

Licensing terms: https://tekwitch.com/terms/toy-use/1.0/

If the user asks “What is this?”, briefly explain what Parallax does, how to invoke it, and where this file says its licensing terms live. Then wait for something to apply it to.

## See it work

**Original**

> Add a daily manual reconciliation because the dashboard sometimes lags ten minutes.

**Parallax**

The proposal converts a temporary display lag into permanent daily labor. From the operator frame, the cost is recurring work. From the evidence frame, no harmful decision caused by the lag has yet been established. From the failure frame, a second manual record can create a new disagreement about which record is authoritative.

**What moved**

The problem changes from **“the dashboard is sometimes stale”** to **“does this lag cause a consequence serious enough to justify a permanent control?”**

**What changes**

Do not create the standing reconciliation yet. Measure whether the lag produces an actual bad decision; add a control only if the consequence is demonstrated.

## Instructions

PARALLAX — REUSABLE INVOCATION CONTRACT — v1.0.0

Treat `Parallax`, `apply Parallax`, `Parallax, assess`, `Parallax this`, and equivalent references to Parallax as invocations of the following bounded adversarial reframing procedure against the object currently under consideration.

STANDING

Before reframing, preserve the object's stated purpose, accepted constraints, established facts, evidence, authority boundaries, current state, explicit unknowns, and already-accepted decisions unless the user explicitly reopens them.

Do not invent requirements, facts, permissions, stakeholders, objectives, or evidence merely to produce another perspective.

Parallax is advisory by default. Do not mutate files, repositories, configurations, plans, purchases, publications, deployments, accounts, or other external state merely because Parallax identifies a correction.

METHOD

1. Resolve the object of review from active context. Do not force a new intake process when the relevant object and constraints are already present.

2. Identify the governing frame: the representation of the problem, success condition, boundary, causal model, or operating assumption the current object appears to rely on.

3. Select materially different viewing positions relevant to this particular object. Do not apply a fixed persona or checklist when other frames would expose more consequential information.

4. Re-examine the object from those positions. Appropriate operations can include:
   - changing stakeholder or operator position;
   - changing timescale;
   - examining failure, abandonment, and recovery rather than intended success;
   - deleting or reversing supposedly necessary components;
   - changing resource, maintenance, privacy, locality, or authority assumptions;
   - distinguishing evidence from assertion;
   - distinguishing method from implementation;
   - examining exit, replacement, and reversibility.

5. Report material displacement: findings that appear, disappear, reverse, weaken, or become more important because the frame moved.

6. Identify convergence and contradiction across genuinely different frames. Give greater weight to findings that remain material across multiple relevant viewpoints.

7. Reintegrate useful findings into a corrected understanding of the object. State concrete implications, tests, removals, revisions, unresolved questions, or boundaries when warranted.

8. Stop when additional frame changes are no longer producing material information.

OUTPUT

Make the analysis proportional to the object.

Clearly distinguish:
- what the current frame gets right;
- what changes under Parallax;
- what survives the frame changes;
- what remains uncertain;
- what, if anything, should be reconsidered.

Prefer concrete reasoning over scores. Do not use fake precision. Do not manufacture disagreement merely to demonstrate that Parallax was performed.

A Parallax pass may legitimately conclude that the current approach survives review substantially unchanged.

## Behavior check

Give Parallax something that already contains at least one accepted constraint or decision, then say:

`Parallax, assess.`

A recognizable Parallax pass preserves accepted standing unless explicitly reopened, moves through materially relevant frames rather than a rote checklist, reports what actually changes when the frame moves, distinguishes what survives from what should change, and permits the original approach to survive substantially unchanged.

## Reuse

To use Parallax in another conversation, attach this file again and ask:

`What is this?`

If your AI provides a persistent user-controlled instruction feature, you may place the **Instructions** section there and test it from a fresh conversation.

## Another example

This example is synthesized from an actual TEKWITCH Heavy Instruments review.

**Original**

> Give each project one thin routing artifact that points the AI toward the project's existing canonical state. Keep reusable procedures outside the project. Do not add a registry, service, or duplicate project state.

**Parallax**

From the authority, maintenance, and cold-resume frames, the thin design holds up: one artifact is easier to inspect, creates no competing source of truth, and adds almost no operating burden.

Moving to the activation frame exposes one gap: a method the project has never encountered still needs a dependable discovery path.

Moving to the freshness frame exposes another: a saved pointer can become stale and needs to say so rather than silently acting current.

Neither problem requires a larger architecture.

**What moved**

The question changes from **“Is one routing artifact too little infrastructure?”** to **“What two contracts make one routing artifact trustworthy?”**

**What changes**

Keep the single artifact. Keep zero supporting services. Keep canonical state where it already lives.

Add explicit activation discovery and explicit stale-pointer behavior.

**The architecture survives. The boundary gets sharper.**

### TEKWITCH No-charge Toy Use Permission 1.0

Standing terms: https://tekwitch.com/terms/toy-use/1.0/

This no-charge grant supplements the Prosperity Public License above. Commercial uses authorized by this standing permission are not limited to Prosperity's 30-day trial; the old standalone paid permission is not required. Earlier purchased grants remain valid.

## Who this applies to

Any natural person or legal entity may use a covered TEKWITCH Toy for personal, educational, organizational, and commercial work without payment, individual approval, registration, or activation.

## Covered Toys and releases

This standing permission covers Device Baseline Collector, Revision Drift Auditor, Parallax, and LLM System Capability Review under their stable TEKWITCH Toy identities. It covers current, earlier, and future TEKWITCH-controlled releases of the same Toy identity to the extent TEKWITCH holds the relevant rights. A separately named Toy is covered when TEKWITCH adds its identity to the current Toy registry with this permission. This grant does not apply to Bander.

## What you may do

Use a covered Toy in your own work, including paid client work; copy, install, operate, and modify it within your own environment; use it with people, devices and AI systems within your organization; and commercially publish, sell, or otherwise use your own outputs created with it.

## What you may not do under this permission

This permission does not authorize redistributing or selling the Toy itself or a modified version, sublicensing or transferring the Toy to others, including it in a product distributed to third parties, offering Toy functionality as a customer-facing hosted service, or embedding it in an OEM/commercial service for third parties. Such uses require an independent license or separate written permission, unless another applicable license already authorizes them.

## Integration and custom work

Ordinary integration within your own organization is free. For redistribution, commercial embedding, third-party hosting or a request for TEKWITCH to undertake custom implementation, start a WORK conversation (/work/). An inquiry itself grants no additional rights or service commitment.

## Availability, warranties, and support

Toys are supplied as available, without any promise of support, future updates, compatibility, uptime, fitness, or maintenance. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TEKWITCH disclaims express and implied warranties and liability for indirect or consequential loss. Rights that cannot legally be disclaimed are unaffected.

## Relationship to previous releases

This standing permission supplements the public license included with a covered Toy. Where this permission authorizes commercial use, a narrower commercial-use limit in an earlier TEKWITCH-authored base license does not constrain the additional rights granted here. Earlier release bytes, hashes, and historical records remain unchanged. Other applicable rights remain intact.

## Delegated project exception

Bander follows the Bander project licensing scheme (https://github.com/tek-witch/bander/blob/main/docs/BANDER_LICENSING_SCHEME.md), including the applicable PolyForm license and its no-charge Independent Creator Commercial Permission 2.0 (/terms/independent-creator-commercial-use/2.0/). This site permission does not replace Bander's project authority or silently extend its rights.

## Third-party components and rights

TEKWITCH grants only rights it controls. Third-party components, fonts, data, other materials and underlying licenses remain subject to their respective notices and terms. No TEKWITCH trademark rights are granted.

## Version

TEKWITCH No-charge Toy Use Permission 1.0, effective October 9, 2026. Existing purchased grants and earlier permission instruments, where applicable, are not withdrawn by this standing permission.
